Glansplasty

Glansplasty is the name of the procedure to fabricate or reconstruct the glans penis.

It is an accessory step in phalloplasty for the purpose of an anatomically correct penis. While it incorporates the urethral os (opening) for bodily functions, current techniques do not allow for sexual sensation. In addition, it must be tattooed proper color to best simulate the cissexual male penis.

Construction

Most glansplasty techniques make use of the same skin flap as is used in the patient's prior phalloplasty.
