LGBT

LGBT is the acronym for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender. The four components that make up the LGBT community are defined as follows:

Letter	Meaning
L	Lesbian
G	Gay
B	Bisexual
T	Transgender

Sometimes other letters are added to the acronym, especially when used as part of an organization's name. They typically indicate "inclusiveness".

Letter	Meaning
A	Allies (as in friends, often Heterosexual), rarely Asexual
I	Intersex
Q	Queer, sometimes "Questioning"
