These are the policies that govern "Susan's Transgender Wiki" and they are designed to help develop our encyclopedia of transgender issues. Remember that those who edit must do so in good faith, and ensure that contributions work towards the goal of creating a great resource.

Key policies

Please ensure that if you intend to edit our articles or add new articles, that you are conversant with our policies before you contribute. The following policies are particularly important and must be followed when editing or contributing new articles to the Wiki:

What the Wiki is

Susan's Transgender Wiki (The Wiki) is an online resource open to all who have an interest in those issues that affect the transgender community. Our goal is to provide current, relevant information that may be used by all those with a need. Therefore the information contained herein must be factual and accurate.

It is important that we respect each of those who contribute to this Wiki and remember that contributors come from many different backgrounds, culture, and countries.


Copyrighted material cannot be posted to the wiki unless permission is first obtained, respect copyrights. Failing to do so can lead to costly legal issues that we would rather not have to deal with.


Avoid bias. Articles should be written from a neutral point of view (NPOV), representing views fairly, proportionately and without bias.

Accurate information

Only verifiable information is to be added to the Wiki. Articles should be based on reliable published sources, and these sources should be cited so that other editors can check articles.

These policies will be amended from time to time as the need arises.
