Intersex Society of North America
From Susan's Place Transgender Resources
The Intersex Society of North America, founded in 1993 by Cheryl Chase, is an organisation formed to represent the interest of intersexuals: people whose bodies do not fit the accepted conventional ideas of "male" or "female".
Their objective is to end the "shame, secrecy, and unwanted genital surgeries for people born with an anatomy that someone decided is not standard for male or female."
